JoAnna Jackson is an acrylic and mixed-media artist living in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and has always had a love of the visual arts. Currently, she works in acrylics, encaustics, collage and hand marbled Japanese Book binding. JoAnna has been a juried member of the Louisville Artisans Guild since 2009. She has been active in the guild as a participant in annual showcases, the exhibiting artist of the month at the Mellwood Art Center and a volunteer at the annual guild artist exhibit. She is currently on the board as a member-at-large, but in June 2016 will become Vice-President.. JoAnna is also active in the Shelby Regional Arts Council. JoAnna's art has been displayed at the Shelby Artists on Main gallery, Damselfly Gallery in Midway, Kentucky, at the Pink Door in Louisville ,Kentucky and Block Party Handmade Boutique. In addition to being a juried artist for Shelby Arts on Main: a commissioned artist for Habitat for Humanity in Atlanta, Georgia; and a participant in the Clothesline of quilts project in Kentucky.
